Introduced MacBook Pro on Apple’s proprietary M1 processor, and it is much better than its predecessor on Intel

One of the first devices based on Apple’s proprietary ARM-chip M1 was the new MacBook Pro 13. With several times higher performance, the laptop can work up to 20 hours from a fully charged battery.

Thanks to the use of the new chip, the laptop’s processor performance have increased up to 2.8 times, compared to the base model of the previous generation, which was powered by the Ice Lake generation Intel Core i5 processor. Apple’s integrated graphics are up to five times faster than Intel integrated graphics. And in tasks with artificial intelligence due to the built-in neuro module, the performance will be up to 11 times higher.

At the same time, power consumption due to the use of the ARM architecture has become significantly lower. For example, at a power consumption of 10W, the M1 processor delivers 25% faster performance. In general, the new product from Apple is almost twice as fast as a similar Intel chip.

The laptop received 8 or 16 GB of RAM and 256, 512 GB, 1 or 2 TB of storage space in the form of a solid-state drive. Equipped with a 13.3-inch Retina display with a wide color gamut.

On a single charge, according to Apple, the laptop is capable of working up to 17 hours when browsing the web in Safari and up to 20 hours of watching videos. The laptop also installed a better front camera module and returned the power-on sound that was the hallmark of previous generations of Mac computers.

The basic version of the MacBook Pro 13 on the Apple M1 processor will cost 129,990 rubles. The laptop will be available for pre-order on Apple’s official website starting November 12.
