According to the covenants of the developers: the modder turned Geralt from the Witcher 3 into a real snowboarder

The PCGamesN portal drew attention to the Geralt VGX Snowboarder modification published at the end of December last year, which turns the protagonist of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt into a real snowboarder.

In particular, the Geralt VGX Snowboarder adds a special altar (located on Ard Skellig Island) to the game, where you can get the coveted slope board and themed glasses.

The aforementioned items can also be purchased from vendors in Caer Trolde and the White Garden, or obtained through the console commands provided by Geralt VGX Snowboarder, modder Feregorn, on the Nexus Mods website.

According to Feregorn, a snowboard is a multifunctional tool: it can be “magically worn like boots or used as an improvised weapon”.

On the mod’s page, Feregorn also admitted that he spied the idea for the Geralt VGX Snowboarder in interviews with the CD Projekt RED team members for the Noclip documentary series about the creation of The Witcher series.

Then, in October 2017, the environment artist of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Len de Gracia mentioned that during the development the employees really added a snowboard for Geralt to the game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S will be released before the end of this year.
