Premium smartphone update brings a new challenge
The recent update of the most expensive model in the series of flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S20 brought not only the April Android security update but also a new problem.
Adventure continues. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra got a creepy green screen with an official update
The users who installed the update started complaining in the support forums about the strange green screen glow. It looks scary.
Samsung Community members have confirmed that such a greenish glow occurs when the smartphone works with an image refresh rate of 120 Hz and brightness above 25%, and also when the battery charge is low.
This effect is not observed if the screen operates at 60 Hz. To fix the problem, you can simply set 60 Hz in the screen settings or lower the brightness to less than 30%. Nevertheless, it is strange to demand such an underestimation of the parameters from users of the premium device, which costs 100 thousand rubles.
The problem manifested itself in the long-suffering international version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra based on the proprietary Exynos 990 processor, whose users have already complained about “ crazy autofocus ”, insufficient performance, overheating, and fast battery discharge.
