In just a few days, four times as much money was raised for the release of an external Hyperx2 drive than planned

External drive Hyperx2 speeds up to 1050 MB / s

This week, Kickstarter launched a fundraiser for the release of an external Hyperx2 drive. Expecting to collect $ 20,000, the authors of the project in just a few days raised four times as much. How much will be collected in total – so far you can only guess since the campaign will continue for another 31 days.

In just a few days, four times as much money was raised for the release of an external Hyperx2 drive than planned

The Hyperx2 drive attracts large fundraising participants – 2 and 4 TB, high data transfer rates – up to 1050 MB / s and broad compatibility – it can be used with PCs, mobile devices, game consoles and cameras.

Inside the small case with dimensions 76 x 57 x 9 mm are two SSDs of size M.2 2242. The SSDs on the 3D TLC NAND flash memory can be combined in the configuration RAID0, RAID1, PM and JBOD. The device weighs 50 g.

To connect to the host, use the USB 3.2 Gen2 interface. The sequential read speed reaches 1050 MB / s, sequential write – 1000 MB / s.

To count on getting a 2 TB drive, you should pay $ 185. For a 4 TB option, they are asking for $ 329. A cable with USB-A and USB-C connectors is included. Shipment should begin in August this year.
