A specific chipset was not mentioned, so it could be Dimensity 800 or Dimensity 820
HMD Global has so far announced only one smartphone with 5G support, called Nokia 8.3 5G. The Snapdragon 765G-based phone has not yet gone on sale, but it is known that it will be offered at a price of 676 dollars, which is quite a lot for a non-flagship smartphone. But it is already known that the manufacturer is preparing a much more affordable smartphone with 5G support.
Affordable Nokia smartphone with 5G support will receive SoC Dimensity
According to Nokia Power User, HMD Global is developing a low-cost Nokia 5G phone, which will be built on the basis of the MediaTek Dimensity 800 series single-chip system. No specific chipset was mentioned, so it could be Dimensity 800 or Dimensity 820.
It is assumed that this is definitely not about the Nokia 7.3 smartphone, which should be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon single-chip system. This phone will be available with support only 4G, and in 5G-version.
Inexpensive Nokia smartphones with 5G support can be released only at the beginning of next year.
