Check out this new exclusive Alan Wake 2 4K gameplay footage. The video takes place in The Dark Place, the nightmarish New York in which he finds himself. Alan finds a familiar face hiding in one of the many dark alleys. This jacket-and-tie-wearing detective is none other than Alex Casey, the hero of Wake’s successful crime book series.

Fans of the series will immediately recognize Alex Casey as Max Payne. It’s just that the rights to Max Payne remained with Rockstar, so Remedy had to change the name of the hero.

Casey’s appearance was again provided by Remedy creative director Sam Lake, and he was voiced by James McCaffrey, whose voice Max Payne spoke before.

Alan Wake II will be released on October 27th.
