All cell phones are dangerous to humans.

Rospotrebnadzor also gives recommendations

Radiation from any cell phone is dangerous for humans, especially for children, as reported by Rospotrebnadzor.

Earlier it became known that the French government may ban the sale of the iPhone 12 in the country due to the high level of electromagnetic radiation from the smartphone if Apple does not correct the situation. The specific body absorption rate of electromagnetic energy (SAR) from the iPhone 12 was found to be 5.74 W/kg, with a permissible maximum of 4 W/kg.

“Radiation from all cell phones is dangerous for humans, especially for children. It is important to follow safety rules when talking on a mobile phone: the call should not last more than two minutes, and the minimum pause between calls should be at least 15 minutes,” the department said.

Rospotrebnadzor said that smartphones should not be placed nearby while sleeping and generally be kept with you at all times. It is better to carry them in a bag and not keep them in your pockets for a long time.

In Russia, there is another system for measuring electromagnetic radiation – energy flux density (EFD), which is measured in watts per square centimeter (μW/cm 2 ) of the body. The standard PES for the human head, established by Rospotrebnadzor in the frequency range from 300–2600 MHz (covers all current communication standards from 2G to 4G), is 100 μW/cm 2.

“Thus, SAR and PES cannot be compared – these are different values,” the department summed up.
