According to new information, Apple may skip the Apple Watch Series 9 name and opt for a variant of the Apple Watch X name for the next smartwatch.
The company has done the same in the past, skipping the iPhone 9 and instead launching the iPhone X. Last year saw the release of the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE 2, as well as the Apple Watch Ultra.
This information was published by the French resource iPhoneSoft, which refers to an anonymous informant from Luxshare. This Apple partner supplies the Cupertino company with displays for various devices.
It is also reported that the Apple Watch X smartwatch will ship with watchOS 10 operating system, but details about the new features have not yet been announced.
The presentation of new Apple devices, including the iPhone 15 and Apple Watch X, is expected to take place in September this year.
