SpaceX has completed 24 launches this year

On Sunday, SpaceX launched its next Falcon 9 rocket with the Dragon cargo spacecraft, which has already docked to the ISS. There might be nothing interesting in this news, but the fact is that this is already the 24th successful SpaceX launches this year.

This means that the company has broken its own record (although it did it earlier since the record was 21 launches per year), and there are still two or three possible launches ahead.

Also, the Sunday launch was a jubilee one. It’s about 100 successful Falcon 9 launches in 10 years. Thus, a quarter of all rocket launches in a decade occurred in the current year.

It can also be noted that the day before yesterday, the Dragon spacecraft was launched via the Falcon 9 launch vehicle, which had already flown three times before, although this is not a record for SpaceX.

Separately, it can be noted that Roscosmos has implemented only 14 launches during the current year, but it hardly makes sense in this matter to directly compare these two industry giants.
