Anodyne 2: Return to Dust RPG Adventure Coming To Consoles Next Month
Ratalaika Games publishers in their official microblog have announced the console versions of the role-playing adventure game Anodyne 2: Return to Dust from the independent studio Analgesic Productions.
As it became known, Anodyne 2: Return to Dust will go on sale for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch in less than a month – on February 18.
Judging by the almost two-minute trailer timed to coincide with the announcement, the process of transferring Anodyne 2: Return to Dust to consoles was not done by the developers themselves, but by the Ratalaika Games team.
Exactly how the console versions will differ from the previously released PC edition is not specified. In the aforementioned video, Ratalaika Games and Analgesic Productions demonstrated cutting of gameplay scenes.
Recall that the events of Anodyne 2: Return to Dust unfold on an island suffering from nanodust. The task of the main character, a cleaning lady named Nova, is to rid the world of this threat.
In Anodyne 2: Return to Dust, the developers have combined the “immersive sweep and cinematic storytelling of 3D games” with the design of 2D adventures like The Legend of Zelda.
Anodyne 2: Return to Dust was released in August 2019 for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). In Valve’s digital store, the project received just over 300 reviews, 93% of which were positive.
