Apex Legends: Legacy – Massive 3v3 Update Featuring Flying Heroine, Bow and More
Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment held a major update to Apex Legends: Legacy for the global press. The development team showed and talked about what to expect in the shooter in a week. There are really a lot of changes.
Apex Legends recently passed the 100 million player mark. Respawn Entertainment doesn’t stop there – a major Legacy update will be launching very soon. This will happen on the day the current season ends, May 4th.
With Legacy, a permanent Arena mode will appear in the game, where legends fight in a 3v3 format on five maps. With each round, you will be able to accumulate and spend points to buy weapons, improve their elements, special skills, or purchase additional ammunition and equipment. It is noteworthy that in Arenas, Legends can use special and tactical skills a limited number of times per round.
Arenas are both recognizable locations from existing locations of the battle royale mode and completely new ones. Simultaneously, the cards are by no means small, but with each round, they decrease in size in the same way as it was done in the royal battle.
Also, in Apex Legends: Legacy, there will be a new legend – Valkyrie. She is the daughter of the titan pilot Viper, whom you may remember from Titanfall 2 as the antagonist. She can fly over the battlefield for a limited time and fire a hail of deadly missiles. A special ability is the ability to soar into the sky with her squad and redeploy if the situation gets tense. The game will also feature the bow, a powerful and deadly weapon that Respawn Entertainment calls an “ancient relic.” Gamers will be able to increase its effectiveness by installing two enhancements: Deadeye’s Tempo allows you to shoot faster, while Shatter Caps makes arrows burst when fired – sort of like a shotgun salvo. Both enhancements can be used at the same time.
Finally, Apex Legends: Legacy will have updates to the Olympus map, battle pass, and ranked mode.
Apex Legends is available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
