Apple already has a similar experience with its films CODA and Cherry debuting in select theaters for a few weeks in 2021, but it was a very limited release. Now Apple wants more.

Apple has already reached out to several third-party distributors to collaborate on releasing Apple TV+ movies in theaters this year, the source believes. Now the list of contenders includes paintings including Killers of the Flower Moon by Martin Scorsese, Argylle by Matthew Vaughn and Napoleon Ridley Scott. This time, the films are expected to be shown in theaters around the world for at least a month.
