Apple introduced the iPad Pro on the M1 computer processor. The elder received a Liquid Retina XDR display and a price of $ 1099
Today, more than two years after the last major update to the iPad Pro series, Apple has unveiled a completely redesigned tablet that will surprise users. The new iPad Pros aren’t just getting close to computers in performance – they’re based on the same platform as the latest iMacs and the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini introduced this fall.
As expected, the design of the devices has not undergone major changes, but their main advantage over their predecessors lies in the radically redesigned filling. Of course, special attention should be paid to the hardware platform. The iPad Pro is now powered by the M1 chipset, which Apple says is the most powerful computer processor on the market.
Apple claims that the new iPad Pros outperform their predecessors by 50% in CPU performance and 40% in graphics. The chipset contains an incredibly powerful 16-core Apple Neural Engine, an eight-core CPU, an eight-core GPU, and up to 16GB of RAM. The storage capacity reaches 2 TB. Professionals will appreciate the Thunderbolt USB-C port, making the tablet compatible with an external PRO Display XDR monitor. It is worth noting the possibility of working in 5G networks.
The 11-inch iPad Pro offers users a stunning 120Hz Retina display (ProMotion) with IPS technology. However, the 12.9-inch model is truly amazing. It uses a Mini-LED matrix, which is marketed as Liquid Retina XDR. Apple claims that it boasts a full-screen brightness up to 1000 cd / m 2, the peak brightness of 1600 cd / m 2, and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1.
The TrueDepth Camera System now features an all-new 12MP ultra-wide-angle Center Stage front sensor that offers a completely new video calling experience. The updated camera allows you to recognize the user and keep him in the center of the frame. As for the main camera, thanks to the new ISP and LiDAR sensor, it allows you to shoot in almost complete darkness.
The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $ 799 for the Wi-Fi model and $ 999 for the 5G version. For a 12.9-inch iPad Pro without support for cellular networks, you will have to pay from $ 1099. The 5G model starts at $ 1299. Accepting pre-orders for tablets starts on April 30, and in retail, they will arrive in mid-May.
