The problem Epic has created can be easily resolved by releasing the update according to the rules that apply to all developers. We will not make an exception for Epic – it is wrong to put its interests above the principles of ensuring the safety of users, ”the company said.

The conflict between Apple and Epic Games happened in mid-August. The developers tried to launch the sale of in-game currency bypassing the App Store in order to avoid paying a 30% commission. Because of this, Apple removed the shooter from the store. In response, Epic filed a lawsuit accusing the company of anti-competitive behavior. A similar situation unfolded with Google Play on Android.

On August 18, Apple threatened to delete the Epic Games account if the parties did not reach an agreement by August 28. This will restrict access to store services not only for the creators of Fortnite but also for everyone who uses Epic tools in their projects. Epic Games went to court to prohibit Apple from such actions.
