Apple to move production from iPhone 12 mini to iPhone 12 Pro

According to a recent note from Morgan Stanley, a banking holding company, Apple has cut production of the iPhone 12 mini by two million units to increase the production of the iPhone 12 Pro. Apple is believed to have taken such a step to shorten the delivery time of the more popular iPhone 12 Pro.

This information confirms previous reports that the iPhone 12 mini was not selling well. Sources claim that the compact model accounts for only six per cent of total sales of the iPhone 12 family. Recall that the iPhone 12 series smartphones have gained immense popularity, which, in part, contributed to their support for 5G cellular networks. For example, thanks to the new iPhones, Apple has taken 20.3% of the Chinese smartphone market.

The iPhone 12 Pro is reportedly shipped over ten days for any Apple smartphone released in the past four years. And at the end of 2020, the ordered iPhone 12 Pro had to wait up to 22 days.
