An investment analyst at US financial holding JP Morgan said Apple’s first AR headset will launch in the first quarter of 2021. According to him, the device will be equipped with six lenses and a LiDAR sensor. Its presence will become the key advantage of the Apple product over competing devices.

The same information is confirmed by the Chinese edition of China Times. It is reported that LiDAR will be used to determine the distance between objects in the real world, which will significantly improve the experience of using augmented reality. According to the China Times, Apple’s AR headset will cost more than $ 500, making the product more expensive than any competing device. In addition, JP Morgan analysts concluded that the lighter and thinner Apple Glass is unlikely to be released anytime soon due to the extremely complex product specifications.

Earlier, the authoritative publication Bloomberg reported that Apple’s first augmented reality headset will cost more than $ 900. The device is slated to debut in 2022 and ahead of Apple Glass’s launch by a year.
