Apple’s revenue and profit sank, but iPhone sales set another record

The company reported for the second quarter of fiscal year 2023

Apple has reported for the second quarter of its fiscal year 2023, which ended on April 1st.

During the reporting period, the Cupertino giant gained $94.8 billion, which is less than the result of a year ago, when revenue was $97.3 billion. Net profit also sank a little: from 25 to 24.16 billion dollars. 

If you look at the results by region, then the largest decrease in revenue in America, while in Europe it even slightly increased.

iPhone revenue rose from $50.57 billion to $51.33 billion, a record high for the March quarter. As a reminder, according to CIRP analysts, the average iPhone selling price in the last quarter approached $1,000 and was even higher than in the December quarter. 

Mac sales sank sharply, from $10.4 billion to $7.2 billion. iPad sales fell from $7.6 billion to $6.7 billion, while sales of wearables, home electronics, and accessories dropped only slightly from $8.8 billion to $8.76 billion. 

But services brought Apple 20.9 billion against 19.8 billion a year earlier, and this is also a record for the March quarter.
