Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans believe Ubisoft is focusing more on microtransactions than game development

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released on November 10, 2020, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Series S, and Google Stadia. Since then, action role-playing has received several patches to fix bugs and a lot of paid content available in-game shop for real money. Not all users are happy with this situation.

A visitor to the Reddit forum under the pseudonym Zuazzer posted a post in which he criticized Assassin’s Creed Valhalla developers. He mentioned nine of the eighteen available in the action RPG armor sets could only be purchased with real money in the in-game store. This is not cosmetic content – it affects the gameplay.

According to Zuazzer, Ubisoft has focused too much on introducing paid items in the store:  “Why isn’t it being talked about?  Just a few years ago, people would have done hell to developers for this attitude. This is not good, especially for a project that costs $ 60. ”

The Zuazzer publication received almost 5,000 positive ratings and over 800 comments. Many Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans have joined in the criticism. In the comments under the post, you can find various complaints – for example, the promised features (such as transmogrification ) do not have an estimated time of appearance, and the features expected by the community (such as “New Game +”) may not be added at all.
