ASUS accidentally confirmed the existence of a mobile GeForce RTX 3050 Ti with 4 GB GDDR6

ASUS has updated the TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop’s specifications, adding a mobile version of the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti as one of the available graphics accelerators. At the same time, this video card has not yet been presented by NVIDIA.

Earlier, on the same page with the laptop’s description, instead of the name of the video card model, its identification number GN20-P0 was indicated. It seems that ASUS was able to confirm the information that this ID belongs to the mobile version of the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti video card.

According to the manufacturer’s website, the mobile GeForce RTX 3050 Ti will be equipped with 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory, 2 GB less than the mobile GeForce RTX 3060 based on the Ampere GA106 chip. It can be assumed that the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti will be built on the junior Ampere GA107 graphics processor and will receive support for a 128-bit memory bus.

Unfortunately, the product page does not provide additional information about the graphics accelerator. Meanwhile, in one of the Acer documents, video cards with the markings GN20-P1 and GN20-P0 were also found. The specs state that the TGP level of both is 60W. This level of power consumption, in turn, corresponds to the minimum for a mobile GeForce RTX 3060.

Recall that the ASUS TUF Dash F15 laptop is based on the new 11th generation Intel Core processors (Tiger Lake-H35), offers up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM can be equipped with a WQHD 2560 × 1440 display. It is likely that in the case of the younger GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, a simpler screen will be offered.
