ASUS began selling updated ZenBook 13 and 14 ultrabooks with Ice Lake processors
ASUS today released two updated ZenBook models: the 13-inch UX325 and the 14-inch UX425. Compared to their predecessors of the previous generation, the new items are thinner and lighter and are also equipped with the latest 10th generation Intel Core mobile Ice Lake processors.
The manufacturer claims that the 13- and 14-inch ZenBooks are the thinnest devices in their class. They are only 13.9 mm thick. New items received updated keyboards ASUS NumberPad 2.0 with LED-backlit, ErgoLift opening mechanisms, as well as NanoEdge screens with thin frames. The 13-inch model has a minimum thickness of 2.9 mm. The older model has 2.5 mm. In both cases, support for FHD-resolution 1920 × 1080 pixels is declared. ASUS option can offer energy-efficient installation matrices with the brightness of 450 cd / m 2.
Each of the models can be equipped with Intel Core i5-1035G1 or Core i7-1065G7 processors. Both systems offer 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM at 3200 MHz, as well as the installation of NVMe SSD-drives up to 512 GB.
The latest ASUS ZenBook 13 (UX325) and ZenBook 14 (UX425) offer Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters, a full-size HDMI 2.0 connector, one USB 3.2 Type-A, and two high-speed Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports ) and an SD card slot. Each laptop model is equipped with a 67 Wh battery for up to 22 hours of battery life. Each model comes with a 65W power supply. Supported by ASUS USB-C Easy Charge technology, laptop batteries can also be recharged via USB-C from other devices, such as portable batteries.
ASUS ZenBook 13 (UX325) and ZenBook 14 (UX425) laptops have already appeared on sale. The recommended cost of the first is $ 800, for the second the manufacturer asks for $ 900.
