ASUS CMP 30HX 6G video card for mining got ARGB-backlit for some reason

At the disposal of the VideoCardz portal were images of the upcoming specialized video card CMP 30HX from ASUS. The novelty borrows the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER DUAL EVO gaming model from the same manufacturer. Externally, the mining graphics accelerator is distinguished only by the absence of any video interfaces.

ASUS CMP 30HX 6G is equipped with a dual-fan cooling system. For installation in a PC case, the video card requires 2.7 pivot expansion slots. The accelerator is 242 mm long and 53 mm thick. You don’t expect such dimensions from a specialized mining video card, but the new product should fit into most of the most popular mining cases.

The manufacturer does not indicate that the CMP 30HX model is based on the NVIDIA TU116-100 GPU on the Turing architecture. However, this information has been previously confirmed by other sources. The base GPU frequency is 1530 MHz; in Boost mode, it rises to 1785 MHz. The video card received 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory with an effective frequency of 14 GHz. The same characteristics are offered by the gaming model of the GeForce GTX 1660 Super.

For additional power supply, the novelty uses one 8-pin connector. Curiously, the ASUS CMP 30HX 6G is equipped with ARGB backlighting. According to the source, the specialized GPU for mining will go on sale in May. Its cost will be around $ 799.
