ASUS PG32UQX 4K gaming monitor with Mini-LED backlighting and 144 Hz frequency is estimated at $ 6400

Unveiled earlier this year at CES 2020, the ASUS PG32UQX 32-inch Gaming Monitor looks like it’s finally on sale. The truth is only preliminary. The novelty was spotted in the Chinese online store Taobao. The seller promises to start shipping the monitor only in January next year.

The ASUS PG32UQX model uses a 32-inch 10-bit IPS-matrix with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 4 ms (GTG), with a 4K-resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and a pixel density of 163 PPI (pixels per inch). The manufacturer claims support for the VESA DisplayHDR 1400 image standard for the new gaming monitor. This means that the peak display brightness is 1400 cd / m 2. The typical contrast ratio is 1000: 1. The monitor offers over 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

Additionally, we can note the presence of ULMB technology, which makes the screen backlight flicker in sync with the screen refresh rate, simultaneously synchronizing the frame rate. CRT monitors work in a similar way.

The novelty also has support for NVIDIA G-Sync technology, but the main feature of the monitor is the use of the new Mini-LED backlight technology, which is provided by 1152 local dimming zones located on the screen.

The equipment of the ASUS PG32UQX model also includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.
