The ASUS TUF Gaming CUK430 external video capture card will be one of the most compacts in its class. For example, it is smaller than AVerMedia’s Live Gamer Mini. The Taiwanese manufacturer’s novelty is assembled in a metal case, has passive cooling, rubberized feet, and RGB backlighting. The latter is used not only for beauty but also as an indicator of various functions’ operation. The TUF Gaming CUK430 is equipped with two HDMI connectors and a USB 3.0.

Like all other modern capture cards, the TUF Gaming CUK430 will work with game consoles of the past and present generations. Declared support for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. It will also be possible to connect additional external devices, such as webcams and DSLR cameras. The new product will also receive support for the most popular streaming programs such as OBS and XSplit.

ASUS did not share details about the features of its new product. Still, according to the resource Tom’s Hardware, the external video capture unit TUF Gaming CUK430 will be able to work with a video stream in 4Kor 1080p resolutions and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz. It will also receive support for pass-through data transfer. Additionally, it claims support for video encoding technologies using GPUs from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel, as well as through a central processor. The device itself will not have a built-in encoder, as ASUS wants to avoid additional data transmission delays.

The manufacturer is aware that video capture cards that are not equipped with an active cooling system can get very hot during operation. However, ASUS indicates that its new product will not heat up above 38 degrees Celsius. The manufacturer promises to tell in more detail about the external video capture device TUF Gaming CUK430 closer to its release.
