ASUS to unveil Intel Tiger Lake-H45 gaming laptops on May 11

ASUS has announced via its official Twitter page that it will unveil the first gaming notebook models based on 11th Gen high-performance mobile Intel Core processors on May 11. Presumably, on the same day or a little earlier, the official announcement of the Tiger Lake-H45 processors will take place.

Intel unveiled energy-efficient mobile chips of the Tiger Lake generation for compact gaming laptops back in January this year. The series consists of models offering four processing cores and eight virtual threads. These chips have a TDP of 35 watts. The upcoming Tiger Lake-H45 series of high-performance processors will offer models with up to eight cores and power consumption levels above 45W. They will target premium gaming laptops where performance is more important than portability.

As for the upcoming ASUS presentation, the Taiwanese manufacturer is expected to announce the powerful ROG Zephyrus M16 gaming laptops and the ROG Zephyrus S17. Both new items have already been reported in leaks. In addition, the company is going to update the TUF A17 series with fresh Intel processors.

One of the most significant features of the ROG Zephyrus M16 laptop, which sets it apart from last year’s ROG Zephyrus M15 model with 10th Gen Intel Core processors, will be a new 16-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a refresh rate of 165 Hz.
