ASUS Unveils Mini PC PB62 Nettop Powered by Octa-Core Rocket Lake-S Processor
ASUS has announced a small form factor Mini PC PB62, built on the Intel Rocket Lake hardware platform. The device is enclosed in a case with dimensions of only 175 × 175 × 42 mm and weighs 1.3 kg.
The maximum configuration provides for the use of a Core i7-11700 processor with eight processing cores (16 threads). The base clock speed is 2.5 GHz, the maximum is 4.9 GHz. The chip includes the Intel UHD Graphics 750 graphics accelerator.
The amount of DDR4-3200 RAM can be 8 or 16 GB. Data storage is responsible for a solid-state module M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 with a 256 or 512 GB capacity. Additionally, a 2.5-inch drive can be installed.
The Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 controllers are responsible for the wireless communication capabilities. A Gigabit LAN adapter is provided for a wired connection to a computer network.
Available connectors include USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A and USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C ports, two DisplayPort 1.2 interfaces, USB 2.0 ports, and standard audio jacks. A module is provided with a port configurable at the customer’s request: it can be HDMI 2.0, D-Sub, DisplayPort, or a serial port.
The nettop can run Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home. There is no information about the estimated price yet.
