Auto Chess is based on mahjong gameplay. You need to deploy your army of chess pieces on the field and defeat your enemies. First of all, you are required to collect pieces from the general pool in your hand and create a team, after which they will fight themselves. During the battle, you can improve the rank of warriors, as a rule, according to the “3 for 1” principle. But this is not enough to win. Figures have race and class, and their correct combination is the key to success. The game offers several modes including Duet, Classic, Fantasy, and Quick, as well as about a hundred figures. Auto Chess was originally conceived by Dorado studio as a modification of Dota 2 that quickly gained immense popularity. In about six months, it gained over 8 million players and inspired several developers to create similar stand-alone projects. The relationship between Frodo and Valve did not come together, so they took different paths: one released a separate Auto Chess and promised to support Dota Auto Chess, the other – Dota 2 Underlords. Over time, Dorado Studio joined the larger gaming company, Dragonet Game.
