They show speed, navigation arrows and other information.
BMW introduces ConnectedRide smart glasses that project speed, gear and navigation data in front of users’ eyes.
Important information can be projected onto the right lens, similar to a head-up display in cars, where the screen can display driver information right in front of their eyes.
The position of the information can be adjusted to suit every driver perfectly, and the goggles can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Via the BMW Motorrad Connected app, they can display GPS data and much more.
BMW smart glasses introduced
ConnectRide smart glasses are designed specifically for motorcyclists. BMW offers two sizes to fit different faces as well as to fit comfortably in a variety of helmets.
In addition, the goggles come with two sets of lenses for different helmet visors. For example, one kit is 85% transparent and is specifically designed for use under helmets with integrated sun visors. The lenses are UVA/UVB certified and can be ordered to suit your vision (+/- 4.5 diopters) if you wear glasses.
The glasses are powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery that can last up to 10 hours and can be charged via a USB cable. They are designed for operation at temperatures from 10 to +50 °C.
