By the time the material was published, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla had received 71 Metacritic ratings, which were divided between the main target platforms: PS4 (25 reviews), Xbox Series X (20), PC (16), and Xbox One (10).

In terms of average score, the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla performed best – 86%. The Xbox Series X (85%) is slightly behind, and the PS4 (82%) and Xbox One (81%) are even slightly behind.

Reviewers praise the spacious and visually pleasing open world, redesigned narrative structure, and combat system, and criticize the unsuccessful stealth, protractedness, and an abundance of technical problems.

The Gaming Trend employee liked absolutely everything (100%) in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: “Vivid locations are interesting to explore, the combat system and stealth surprise with depth and generosity, and there is a lot of Viking activities here

3DNews author Alexei Likhachev called Assassin’s Creed Valhalla a brilliant development of the modern formula of the series (95%): “It turned out not only an exciting, large-scale and constantly surprising adventure, but also one of the best games of the year

Journalist GamesRadar awarded the project to 90%: “With a huge world to conquer, bloody battles and the ability to use the iconic Hidden Blade Assassin’s Creed Valhalla triumphantly brings in a series of balance”.

GameSpot praised the courageous scenic part of the game (80%): “She needs a little time to gain traction, but, speeding, Valhalla becomes confident Assassin’s Creed, which is several times the risk goes to the narrative and not in vain”.

The lowest rating (50%) was given to the project in GameRevolution“The Vikings were a promising starting point, but aimless and bloated beyond recognition, Valhalla turned out to be a boring and drab Scandinavian release in the franchise

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla goes on sale November 10 for PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store), PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and November 12 for PS5. Earlier, a two-hour demo of the Xbox Series X version appeared online.
