Bose is preparing fully wireless headphones that will challenge the AirPods Pro

A video has appeared on the Web dedicated to the upcoming fully wireless noise-canceling Bose QuietComfort in-ear headphones, which could be an alternative to Apple’s AirPods Pro. The video was published, apparently by accident, since the time of the announcement had not yet come, and soon it was deleted.

Bose has long been the undisputed leader in the active noise-canceling headphone market, and its QuietComfort soundproofing models have been very popular, particularly among those who spend a lot of time on the air.

The branding decision by Bose seemed odd to many when it dropped the QuietComfort name for its successor to the QuietComfort 35, giving it the name Noise Canceling Headphones 700. Due to this, the next version of the in-ear headphones was expected to be called the Bose Noise Canceling Earbuds 700. However, how reports the resource CNET, in the video they are shown under the name Bose QuietComfort Earbuds.

The company announced two new wireless earbuds last year. The Earbuds 500, then renamed Sports Earbuds, was introduced back in June 2019, but the start of shipments was then pushed back from last year to this one. The Noise Canceling Earbuds 700 was expected to hit the market no earlier than this year, but many hoped that both models would go on sale early when several competing models hit the market. However, this has not happened yet.

The market for wireless TWS headphones is extremely saturated, devices are available in all price categories, but the majority are represented by five brands: Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung, Jabra, and JBL. Apple is the undisputed leader.

Premium audio brands such as Audio-Technica, Beyerdynamic, Master & Dynamic, and Sennheiser have yet to make significant headway, each with a market share of no more than 0.3%. But if anyone has a chance to succeed here, it is Bose.
