Developers from the studio Unknown Worlds Entertainment, as part of today’s release of the State of Play news program, have unveiled a new trailer for their underwater simulator Subnautica: Below Zero.

As a reminder, Subnautica: Below Zero is a standalone addition to Subnautica. The place and time of action is the Arctic region of planet 4546Bone year after the final of the main game.

The main character, who arrived at a ground research station to study alien artifacts, will have to survive in a harsh climate and investigate the events that happened to her sister.

According to the information in the trailer, Subnautica: Below Zero on PlayStation 5 will offer crystal clear graphics (announced to support 4K) and 60 fps in performance mode.

In addition, the game uses the capabilities of the DualSense controller: “Thanks to the system of tactile feedback at key moments and when using tools with transport, you will receive visual and audio cues

The developers also confirmed that the owners of the original Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero on PlayStation 4 will be able to update their games to versions for PlayStation 5 absolutely free.

Subnautica: Below Zero will go on sale on May 14 this year for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch.
