Fault on Google Play
Users of devices based on the Android operating system began to complain about a strange crash of the Google Play app store online.
Calm, only calm. Unnecessary Application Updates Fill Android Smartphones
As a result of the failure, the system reloads the updates of applications that have already been installed. Needless to say, this leads to unnecessary battery consumption, reducing battery life, and also increases the consumed traffic.
Last weekend and Monday morning, Google Play users noticed a strange thing – a lot of available updates for applications. Most of them relate to applications developed by Google itself, including YouTube TV, Wear OS, Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Tasks Phone, Fit, and Files.
This can happen if critical vulnerability fixes are released, but this has clearly not happened now. If you compare the versions on the device and in the proposed updates, then they coincide. Some proposed updates came out last week, others from a month ago.
If you click on the “Update” button, then the updates actually begin to download and install. Fortunately, the third time Google Play no longer offers to install them. Also, some of the proposed “repeat” updates may disappear if you close the Google Play application through multitasking.
The problem was quite widespread. But in addition to the additional discharge of the battery and the load on the network, it does not bring harm.
