The manufacturer originally planned to start deliveries this month
Canon’s Japanese website has posted a notice that the release of the RF 70-200mm F4 lens, announced on November 4 and scheduled for late December, has been postponed until early March 2021.

In the notification, the manufacturer apologized for the delay and explained the reason: “for production reasons,” he was unable to prepare a volume sufficient to start deliveries.
The company also said it would “do everything possible” to bring the lens to market.
As you know, along with the RF70-200mm F4 L IS USM, the RF 50mm F1.8 STM lens was presented, which the company also expected to start selling in December. This lens hit the market without delay.
