“Now the ordinary iPhone has become a luxury device”
The Caviar company, known for its incredibly expensive versions of popular smartphones, solemnly announced that it was “the first in Russia to set prices for the iPhone 15 line.” Previously, MTS had already begun accepting pre-orders with an advance payment of 50 thousand rubles, but did not announce the final prices.
On Avito they also offer to order an iPhone 15, but there the price range is truly huge even for the amount of the prepayment, without specifying the cost of the price – from 30 thousand to a crazy million rubles.
Now Caviar is offering a 50% down payment and “guaranteed to receive an iPhone 15 at a fixed price in the fall.” Note that Caviar tactfully hushed up its first attempt to open pre-order for the iPhone 15 back in May. Then prices were also announced in rubles, but quite different (from 125,000 to 185,000 rubles).
So. Now Caviar offers prices from 204,000 rubles for the iPhone 15 Pro 258 GB to 334,000 rubles for the iPhone 15 Pro Max 2 TB. As you can see, Caviar’s prices have almost doubled since May.
Caviar announced fixed prices for the iPhone 15 in rubles
The press service noted:
Company representatives explain that prices are due to the limited edition of smartphones and the costs of parallel imports. The user pays for the right to receive a device among the first in Russia from a reliable supplier.
Note that we are talking about the standard versions of the iPhone 15. Caviar also has over 40 designs available for iPhone 15 deluxe finishes, as well as requests for custom designs. Caviar CEO Sergey Kitov explained:
Now the regular iPhone has become a luxury device. I can afford it, but I don’t want to. Why buy some iPhone 15 for 300,000 rubles, the design of which has not changed since 2012, if you can pay 50-100 thousand extra and get a personalized smartphone.
