CDPR financials: Cyberpunk 2077 sales in 2020, mobile release dates for The Witcher: Monster Slayer and more
CD Projekt RED posted a video on its official YouTube channel, in which the CFO Piotr Nielubowicz spoke about the studio’s achievements for 2020: sales of Cyberpunk 2077 , The Witcher series games, and including the third part. In addition, Nelyubovich also mentioned the upcoming release of The Witcher: Monster Slayer .
Cyberpunk 2077 had sales of 13.7 million copies in 2020, according to the CFO. These statistics, apparently, include 8 million pre-orders, which the developers talked about last December. Earlier, CD Projekt RED reported that it received a record 2.14 billion zlotys ($ 562 million) in consolidated sales revenue for the year.
Separately, Neljubovich told about the success of The Witcher series. The total sales of all projects of the franchise exceeded 50 million copies, and specifically The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – 30 million copies. Additionally, the CFO mentioned the launch timeline for mobile The Witcher: Monster Slayer. The project will be available next summer.
As for GOG, 2020 was also a record year for the store. During this period, about a thousand games have appeared in the service.
At the end of the video, Neljubovich recalled that the release of versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 for new consoles will take place in the second half of this year.
