Chinese man creates real business in Animal Crossing: New Horizon

An interesting application of the game was invented by residents of Japan and China.

Employees of the Japanese company, who are now forced to work from home, use Animal Crossing to communicate. The solution is funny, but not without drawbacks: in the game, it is impossible to send files and private messages to each other. It’s also difficult to focus on work when there are so many activities around.

A resident of China went even further and began to earn. The player sells in-game goods on order for real money, and for payments uses QR codes, which are very popular in his country for fast transactions. It’s simple – the buyer scans the code, and the seller gives the goods.

Nintendo is unlikely to agree to such an attempt to create an economy within the game and will take action soon.
