Compact drone DJI Mini 2 gets 4K support, better connectivity and more powerful engines than the Mavic Mini

DJI has announced the Mini 2 drone, which, as previously reported, has received a number of significant upgrades over its predecessor. Like the original Mavic Mini, the novelty is lightweight (249 g), which means there is no need to register it with regulatory authorities in many countries, including Russia.

One of the main differences between the Mini 2 and the original is the support of the DJI OcuSync 2 wireless technology, which, compared to its predecessor’s “improved Wi-Fi”, increases the wireless range by 2.5 times (up to 10 km) and provides a more stable connection.

The DJI Mini 2 has a 12MP camera that supports 4K recording at 30 frames per second, rather than 2.7K, like the Mavic Mini, with a bitrate of up to 100 Mbps. It also became possible to shoot photos in RAW format instead of JPG. Like its predecessor, the new product provides video recording in 1080p at up to 60 frames per second and has a 3-axis stabilizer.

DJI also equipped the new product with more powerful engines, providing a speed of 16 m / s (the predecessor has 13 m / s) and resistance to gusts of wind at speeds up to 10.5 m / s (previously 8 m / s), increasing the autonomy time by a minute. flight – up to 31 minutes.

The DJI Mini 2 costs $ 50 more than its predecessor. In the basic configuration with remote control and one battery, the new product costs $ 449. The Fly More kit, which adds a charger, three batteries, and a carrying bag, costs $ 599.
