Cougar Phontum Pro Prix Advanced Noise Canceling RGB Gaming Headset Introduced

Cougar has unveiled its premium Phontum Pro Prix gaming headset. The new product supports 7.1 virtual surround sound and can be used with consumer game consoles, including the new Sony PS5, as well as with PCs.

The headset is an overhead type. It uses 53mm, graphene-diaphragm drivers, to reproduce sound in a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The headset is equipped with a 9.7mm detachable cardioid microphone with Environmental Noise Canceling (ENC) technology. The technology uses a special algorithm to suppress ambient noise in order to provide better voice quality during communication. The COUGAR UIX System utility is used to fine-tune the sound.

The ear cushions are made of breathable material, memory foam, and heat dissipation gel. In addition, the ear cushions have built-in dynamic RGB lighting that can be customized using the COUGAR UIX System app. Besides being able to customize any color, 5 effect templates can also be set.

A USB Type-A connector is used to connect the headset to a game console or computer. The dimensions of the device are 198 × 102 × 225 mm, weight – 440 g, cable length – 1.8 m.
