A couple of short videos have been posted on Twitter showing the overclocking process … of the not yet officially unveiled Intel Rocket Lake-S processor. According to rumors, Intel will completely declassify the CPU of this series next week, but they will only go on sale in March. Should overclocking fans wait until March?

Considering that AMD Ryzen processors also overclock well, few would agree to wait. However, the first record for Rocket Lake-S has already been set. The combination of skillful hands, liquid nitrogen cooling system, and Gigabyte Z590 Aorus motherboard allowed us to overclock the engineering CPU sample to 6923 MHz. However, the memory overclocking looks no less impressive – it worked at a frequency of 6666.66 at a voltage of 1.83 V. It is interesting that the amount of RAM is small – only 8 GB.

It should be noted that Intel has processors that took frequencies and higher. For example, the same Core i9-10900K – at one time it obeyed the frequency of 7.7 GHz.
