Cyberpunk 2077 analysts predicted almost 30 million copies sold in the first year after release
In anticipation of the very imminent release of Cyberpunk 2077, the Bloomberg editors decided to ask experts about the prospects for the hotly anticipated role-playing blockbuster CD Projekt RED.
Recall that in October 2019, analyst Matthew Kanterman from Bloomberg predicted Cyberpunk 2077 over 20 million copies sold in the first 12 months.
Since then, the forecast has only become more optimistic: according to a dozen experts interviewed by Bloomberg, 29.7 million copies are expected from Cyberpunk 2077 during the mentioned period.
For comparison: the previous major release of CD Projekt RED – the fantasy action game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – reached similar levels only by the end of its fifth year on the market.
