Cyberpunk 2077 gets patch 1.06 with fixes for PC and consoles

CD Projekt and CD Projekt RED have announced the release of Cyberpunk 2077‘s New Year’s Eve update 1.06 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It includes several important fixes.

In update 1.06, a bug was fixed, whereby Doom-Doom disappeared when entering the Totentanz club during the active task “New Turn”. In addition, the developers removed the 8 MB save file size limit on the PC, which led to damage to the passage. Unfortunately, as previously stated, this will not fix already corrupted save files.

Finally, the update has improved the memory allocation process and increased game stability on consoles – according to CD Projekt RED, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 now crashes less frequently.

Recall that performance and stability were so poor on the base Xbox One and PlayStation 4 models that Sony Interactive Entertainment decided to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store, and Microsoft expanded its already generous indefinite refund policy specifically for the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on November 10 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The version for the next generation consoles will go on sale in 2021.
