Cyberpunk 2077 has found a new reference to the Witcher 3, which is extremely difficult to find

The first reference to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in Cyberpunk 2077 was found at the moment when journalists were first given access to the project to write preliminary reviews. And now the publication The Gamer has told about the second “Easter egg” associated with the previous creation of CD Projekt RED. And this one is much more difficult to find than the first one.

Cyberpunk 2077

As all fans know, The Witcher 3 is famous for its dozens of question markers that are generously scattered across the map. Some of them hide smugglers’ caches. There are especially many of them on the Skellige Islands and in the water between them. Getting to such hidden treasures is long and often inconvenient, which is why they became known in the community of fans of The Witcher 3.

The developers from CD Projekt RED are well aware of the ill fame of smugglers’ caches. They left a reference to them in Cyberpunk 2077, which can be found under the southern pillar of the bridge connecting Haywood and Pacifica. In this place, there are three barrels drifting on the surface of the water. Loot chests are attached to them.

And on a floating platform nearby you can find a corpse and a note. The latter says that the dead man hunted for caches marked on the map with “a thousand question marks”. Their search turned into an obsession that destroyed the body and mind of an unknown person. This is a clear reference to the clearing of the Skellige Islands map in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the many smugglers’ caches in the previous action RPG.
