Cyberpunk 2077 nods to one of the most annoying missions in GTA: San Andreas

Any large open-world game contains many references. This is proved by the example of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, in which they were found for several weeks from the moment of release. And now the situation is similar with Cyberpunk 2077. A well-hidden reference to The Witcher 3 was discovered in the game last week. Now, in the new product from CD Projekt RED, they found an “Easter egg” associated with one of the most annoying missions in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

The find was discovered by a user of the Reddit forum under the pseudonym Spacer1997. It is located near the River Trailer Park – on the “train tracks that point east” In the described place, users can find a corpse and pick up a note from it. The message contains a conversation between people named JC and Little Smoke. They clearly mean the main character of GTA: San Andreas Carl Johnson (CJ, CJ) and his famous friend Big Smoke. According to the dialogue, they chased the train and tried to get on it, but as a result of the operation, JC was killed. And at the end of the note is Little Smoke’s phrase: “All you had to do was follow the damn train

The referenced reference is related to the Wrong Side of the Tracks mission from GTA: San Andreas. One of her episodes is a motorcycle pursuit of a train. The player must drive vehicles as CJ while Big Smoke shoots enemies. And if the user failed the task, then the partner of the protagonist would say the very phrase that is present at the end of the note from Cyberpunk 2077.
