Dark action platformer Blasphemous will receive a retail edition
In its official microblog, Publisher Sold Out announced that it would distribute a physical version of the hardcore action-platformer Blasphemous from Team17 and the developers from The Game Kitchen.
Blasphemous will retail exclusively for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It is reported that the project will go to store shelves on June 29 of this year.
This is not a standard edition but an extended edition. It will include:
- physical copy of Blasphemous:
- the digital soundtrack for 32 songs;
- digital artbook with 195 pages;
- digital comics;
- two in-game skins (Alloy of Sin and Golden Burden);
- a set of themed stickers;
- poster of the Custody measuring 18 × 29 cm.
Sold Out’s senior product manager, Katie Clark, said in a press release to coincide with the announcement that the company is “excited to join forces with Team17 again, this time to launch Blasphemous in retail.
“Whether you’re a fan or just about to dive into the nightmare world of the Custody for the first time, the Blasphemous Expanded Edition invites players to add an exciting kit to their collection,” Clarke said.
Recall that Blasphemous tells the story of the Penitent adventures, who “fell into the trap of an endless cycle of death and rebirth. ” Now the hero has to save the world from a terrible fate, reaching the cause of all torment.
Blasphemous was released digitally on September 10, 2019, on PC (Steam, GOG), PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Since the release, more than 1 million players have joined the project.
