Dell to release three monitors with Microsoft Teams shortcut button and built-in webcam

Next month, Dell plans to release three new monitors that will feature a dedicated button for quick access to the Microsoft Teams video-conferencing application. The company said it has created “the world’s first videoconferencing monitors certified for Microsoft Teams” after Microsoft began certifying displays, webcams and headsets last year.

A dedicated button will allow Microsoft Teams users to launch the application to receive and make video calls quickly. Hands-free commands will also be supported using the Cortana voice assistant.

The monitors are available in 24, 27 and 34-inches, with the largest having a curved screen. All models feature ComfortView Plus to reduce blue light emissions without compromising colour accuracy. The new monitor specifications also include a retractable 5MP IR camera that supports Windows Hello facial recognition, dual 5W speakers, and a built-in noise-cancelling microphone.

All new items will go on sale in the US on February 16, for $ 520 (24 “diagonal), $ 720 (27”) and $ 1150 (34-inch curved).
