Demand for Monster Hunter Rise Demo Kills Nintendo eShop for Half Day

Capcom recently released a demo of the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise on Nintendo Switch. A lot of users rushed after her in the Nintendo eShop, so the store could not withstand the load and left for emergency service an hour after that.

Due to the high demand for the demo, Nintendo noted that the download of games from the Nintendo eShop was slow. The Japanese arm of the company also advised users not to click the Download Demo button multiple times, as this could delay the download by several minutes.

It took the technical engineers from Nintendo eShop about 6 hours to solve the problem and re-access the store.

The Monster Hunter Rise demo has some limitations that could have sparked such a wave of downloads as soon as possible. So, you can download the game only until February 1, 2021. At the same time, access to tasks is also limited: the main missions against the Great Izuchi and Mizutsune can be completed only 30 times in total. Once this limit is reached, the demo can no longer be played. Also, save data cannot be migrated to the full version.

Monster Hunter Rise is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 26th.
