DiRT 5 has a record low starting performance on Steam, with a peak online of just 824 players
The Gamer portal journalists drew attention to the extremely weak indicators of user activity in the Steam version of the DiRT 5 racing arcade game from the British studio Codemasters.
According to the unofficial Steam database, in the 11 days since the release, the peak online DiRT 5 was only 824 players – this is the worst figure among all games in the series, including rally branches.
Not surprisingly, DiRT 5 reached the specified figure only on the day of its premiere. Previous games in the franchise have starting results as follows:
- DiRT 4 – 4396 players ;
- DiRT Rally 2.0 – 3227 players ;
- DiRT 3 – 2247 players ;
- DiRT Rally – 2138 players ;
- DiRT Showdown – 546 players (North American release)
In terms of the maximum number of simultaneous players for the entire time since the release of DiRT 5, it is even further from its predecessors: in the full edition of DiRT 3, more than 40 thousand people were once recorded.
