DiRT 5 postponed to early November; PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will still be out this year

The official DiRT 5 Twitter account revealed that the racing game being developed by Codemasters has been delayed. Fortunately, there is a little delay compared to the previous date, October 16, the project will be released on November 6. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will continue to roll out before the end of this year. Google Stadia users will have to wait until early next year.

Interestingly, in August, the launch time of the game was already postponed for a week. Regarding the new delay, the developers wrote:

“Hi everyone, DiRT 5’s release date for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC has been pushed back to November 6, 2020, and Early Access for Amplified Edition players will begin November 3. The game is still due out on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 later this year, and on Google Stadia in early 2021This is lousy news, we know. We need to thank everyone for your support and enthusiasm for DIRT5 since its announcement in May. We were also pleasantly impressed by the positive feedback we received during the preliminary meeting. The starting line is now a little further, but still very clearly visible. Remember, anyone who owns DiRT 5 on current generation consoles will still be eligible for the corresponding optimized next-generation version when it launches, free of charge. ”

The developers have promised even more news about DiRT 5 and gameplay features until November. There will be an introduction to new cars and locations, a final list of cars will be presented, more details on the innovations in versions for next-generation consoles will be given, and multiplayer racing modes will be fully revealed.

By the way, last month the creators of DiRT 5 shared the system requirements of their project – it turned out to be more demanding on the video card in comparison with the previous creations of Codemasters.
