The Teal Golden Eagle is equipped with a FLIR Handron dual camera on a dual-axis gimbal. One camera with a 1 / 2.3 “sensor is capable of capturing video in 4K / 60p, and the second is a thermal imager. The Golden Eagle excels with a flight time of up to 50 minutes and can fly at a speed of 80 km / h for a distance of up to 3.2 km. It is capable of flying in wind speeds up to 48 km / h and operating in temperatures ranging from -35 to 43 ℃.

The drone is equipped with a forward collision avoidance system and uses visual-inertial odometry technology that estimates the drone’s location without the need for GPS. The Golden Eagle drone platform has already received approval from the Department of Defense and the federal government as part of the Blue sUAS DIU project.

The drone uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 mobile chip to provide autonomous functions, machine vision, people, and vehicle detection using artificial intelligence technologies. The device uses AES 256 encryption for communication and complies with section 848 of the NDAA for 2020.

The Golden Eagle uses Teal’s Air Control, which includes a 10-inch display and runs Android with the pre-installed QGroundControl control app. The controller is weatherproof and can be used in most situations. It has a 10-hour battery life and allows the Golden Eagle to complete missions to predetermined waypoints, as well as 2D / 3D photogrammetry using near-real-time 2D mapping.
