And in Mi Pad 5, the principle of gesture control is implemented.
In early April, we wrote that Huawei copied for its tablet MatePad Pro 2021 a characteristic feature of macOS – the Dock. As it turned out, Xiaomi did the same with its Mi Pad 5. It also received its own version of the Dock UI.
Dock UI not only in Huawei MatePad Pro 2021 but also in Xiaomi Mi Pad 5
These screenshots show the options for customizing and managing the interface of the Mi Pad 5 – they are seen in the fresh alpha version of the MIUI Home application. You can clearly see that at the bottom of the screen of the Mi Pad 5 there will be a panel similar to the Dock in macOS. Also, the device will widely use gestures for control. However, there will also be a control option with ordinary virtual keys.
The source confirms that there will be three models in the Mi Pad 5 line – they are codenamed Nabu, Enuma, and Elish. All of them will receive screens with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with a frame rate of 120 Hz, but the sizes of the screens will be different. For example, Nabu is assigned a 10.97-inch matrix, and this tablet, according to insiders, will have an 8720 mAh battery.
None of the Mi Pad 5s are rumored to have the flagship Snapdragon 888 platform – the top model will have the Snapdragon 870, while the other tablets are likely to use the Snapdragon 860 SoC and the Snapdragon 855/855 +. The announcement of Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is expected this month, although their debut in June is not excluded.
