Dying Light 2 Writer and Artistic Director Retired from Techland – 22 Years in the Studio

Writer and art director of the original Dying Light and its sequel, Pawel Selinger, has announced on his LinkedIn page that he will leave Techland.

Recall that shortly before the New Year, the Dying Light 2 production team promised to share fresh news about the project in 2021, but it was hardly about an announcement of this kind.

In his address, the screenwriter thanked the company, which allowed him to “develop and realize himself for half his life” – Selinger has been at Techland for over 22 years.

“Techland, I will always support you and the great people I have met thanks to you. I wish Dying Light 2 and your future projects become world hits, ” Selinger said to the studio.

Selinger is not the first screenwriter to leave the Dying Light 2 team. In June 2020, Techland turned down Chris Avellone’s services due to accusations of inappropriate behaviour.

However, the production of Dying Light 2 has been at the ” final stage “ for several months now, in which the participation of scriptwriters, as a rule, is not required – the developers are polishing and fixing bugs.

Dying Light 2 is being created for PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. The game was supposed to be released in the spring of 2020, but the release was postponed indefinitely.
